On the personal side, Emily was an avid tennis player in both high school and college. Like Bob, she added running to her regimen to supplement her tennis career. She found that she enjoyed running as much as playing tennis. Soon, she began to participate in many 5 and 10k runs, until a major injury sidelined her. She developed major complications from plantar fascitis and stress-fractures in her left foot. This injury lead to a significant amount of surgery and has caused Emily to wear a PTB brace on her left foot and leg. Her experience with injuries has made her into one of the resident experts on injuries. |
